The client is Emma, a 5-year-old European American. Due to lack of evidence the writer is unable to identify if Emma’s mother received prenatal care, the writer assumes the mother did receive prenatal care due to the later pediatrician referral about Emma’s behavior. Through text evidence Emma’s mother may have endured stress while pregnant with Emma as evident by several years of marital problems. Emma’s biological function is that she was born at full term and at the age of 5 she has met all her early developmental milestone.
