Reflection On Preschool

My initial impression of my preschool was she was like a lot of children. She was shy. Coming in on the first day of preschool, I could tell she was new this semester. Her name is Tally, She is 5, female; and is about average height for her age, fair skin tone and somewhat scrawny. Tally talks a lot about her family, which leads me to think she is very close with her family. I know she has a twin sister Tessa, an older sister Abigail who she refers to as Abbi, she as well has a brother who she has talked about. Other school settings Tally and Tessa have talked about is that they go to a daycare/preschool when they are not at high school preschool. When testing Tally there were multiple things that she needs work with such as: writing numbers and letter, identifying letters and numbers, sounding out words. But there are things that she tried and did good for her age like: Identifying shapes, colors, her name and writing her name. Her sensory skills seem to be where they need to be for her age. For example her vision seem to be clear due to the fact that she could see the letter, number and shapes during her testing. Her hearing is good, when someone is talking to her she can hear clearly what they are saying. Week five we had 5 senses, one of the activities was telling the difference between salty, sweet, and sour and she easily knew the difference. Physically overall Tally excels at balancing. On nice days when preschool would go outside Tally like to walk up and down the concrete railings, next to the stairs and the small metal railing with no problem balancing. Also Tally is very good with stairs. Usually when we have to leave the class and go to the wrestling room or courtyard the preschoolers use the ramp, but Tally prefers the stairs. When a child is learning how to use stairs they typically go one stair at a time but Tally walks up and down them like a normal person would. Physically Tally doesn 't have too many, if any
