My Technical Writing professor, Wendy Moore, has authorized this report of research. When you turn on the TV today all of the reality television shows are based on either famous people, or famous big cities and never in small towns or places that are not well known. I want to create a reality show based in a small town to show America, and the world what a small town is really like. In this report you will see the research done to see what platform the show would do well on and if anyone would watch it. I conducted two forms of research for this project, Primary and Secondary. Primary research is going out and collecting data specifically for your topic, so in this case, I created a survey to spread around for people to give their feed back. Then, I conducted secondary research in which I went through databases to read many articles, excerpts from books, and existing data to gather more knowledge of how to make this an effective project. …show more content…
Although only a few people were able to take the survey it gave me some very helpful insights to think about while moving forward with this project. For example, I was thinking the best platform for this show would be online somewhere (Netflix, YouTube) because the target audience would be the younger generation, Millennials. The results of my survey gave me that exact information; most of the people surveyed watched their entertainment on either YouTube or Netflix so this just confirms my thought of putting this show on the Internet.
