Stakeholders
Children can face many educational struggles while attending school, which could make schooling less enjoyable. Students attend school to learn and gain knowledge through the standardized curriculum. The curriculum is mandatory for teachers to implement throughout the school year. Arts integration is designed to help students learn new material and make them feel less overwhelmed by the material. Many people are affected by the outcomes of this issue and students, teachers, administrators, and parents are the ones affected the most.
One primary stakeholder in this issue would be the students. The students are affected by the arts integration program, whether it is implemented in their school or not. It will allow students to approach

As a teacher, the main goal is to help their students achieve the highest success possible. If arts integration programs were implemented in all schools, the teachers would be required to change their method of teaching the specified curriculum. One reason teachers are primary stakeholders is that the teachers would be obligated to undergo professional development in order to make sure the material is adequately being taught. It is important for teachers to be creative, keep an open communication between students and administrators, use critical thinking and encourage students to do so as well and to use collaboration. Teachers take great pride in what they do and want to provide the best for their students. The arts can renovate the learning experience for both the students and the teachers. The use of arts integration programs is limited to most schools and can be unknown territory to the teacher. A study was done about eight elementary school teachers who successfully integrated the arts into their classrooms within all subject areas. Researchers wanted to discover the teachers perceptive and practices that were implemented into their daily routine and the study showed how arts integration helped the students gain more knowledge (Fagan, 2015, pg. 4). Teachers found it essential to make their curriculum visible to each student. Students would interact with the curriculum through the arts and would clearly be able to …show more content…
The schools would have to change the requirements for what the teachers implement into their classrooms. Hesitation may arise regarding this situation because the use of standardized test might have to change. For many years standardized testing has been proven the most effective way to show a student’s progress, but do the children actually retain the information? Most of the challenges schools face are directly related to standardized tests, making sure all students show significant improvement. Therefore, this puts additional pressure on the teachers and students to achieve more. Another reason school administrators would be a secondary stakeholder is due to the school’s budget. If all schools used an arts integration program to teach the children, schools would have to come up with a precise and detailed budget. Certain steps from the schools would need to be taken in order to make sure students get the best resources possible. In many school districts, principals are responsible for making major decisions over how priorities are set and how many resources are allowed for each school year. Having a specific budget that clarifies everything regarding the exact amount and details of inventory items used for arts integration would be required. Setting a realistic budget can help identify where there may be resource gaps and inequities so then districts would be able to suggest ways they could be
