Good evening guys, today I will be discussing about three important people in my life. They have been a role model and has encourage me to be who I am today. They are Princess Nokia, Jhene Aiko, and Shane Dawson are the people who I’ll love to meet and have dinner with for one evening. Princess Nokia or Destiny Frasqueri is a 25 year old Afro-Puerto Rican woman, born and raised in New York City. She is an educated, eloquent rapper who is a feminist, embraces her uniqueness, and fights for what she believes in. I can watch her music videos all day, there so cinematic and well coordinated from the aesthetic vibes to the message that she conveys in each of them. In her videos she focuses on feminism, body appreciation, self confidence, and being proud of her Afro-Latina roots. For example, some of her songs like Tom Boy, Brujas, and Flava focuses on these important messages. It would be an honor to take her to El Paisa located in Central Falls, which is a Colombian restaurant. We would get their arroz blanco con habichuela, arepa, chicharrón, y pollo a la brasa. Her recent album, Trip, focuses on her brother passing away and how much it was a loss to her. Every single song in her album focuses on her unconditional love for her brother and not taking granted over that special person in your life. I would describe her as a free spirit with an angelic voice who can make you feel her pain, joy, and tranquility in her voice. I’ll probably take her to Pho Horns in Pawtucket.
