Private Adoption Advantages

Many married couples or single adults in the US do not have the chance of having biological kids, and they choose adoption in order to have a family. In Texas via the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, people have the chance of becoming a Foster and/or Adoptive Parent. The cost of state adoption is not expensive but the wait time is substantially high, from months to years. There is also the option of adopting through a private agency, although the wait time is considerably less compared with state adoption, the cost is also considerably higher with private adoption, the cost can vary between $25,000- $50,000. The long wait time and the high price, makes difficult for people to adopt, and this increases the number of children in wait for a family. Higher adoption fees and long waiting periods reduce exponentially the chances of a kid to get reinstituted into a family. Thus, to increase the chance of shelter kids to grow with a family, adoption fees and waiting periods should be decreased.
