Pro-Choice In a course of a year, 21.6 million women suffer complications from unsafe abortions throughout the world. To have an abortion is a hard option especially if those around you are telling you thing like “You’re taking away a life and that isn’t up to you” or “You’re not going to be the same after the abortion because it is something big.” But in most countries and including some states in the United States is illegal to have an abortion. So abortions should be accessible for women, without that option they will go to unsafe resources and it will lead to death. To choose if you want to have a child is very difficult, especially if there are strong reasons like if it was unsuspected or danger to either the mother or child or even both. There are other options for the mother, so she should not abort the child such as adoption, and clinics to support the mother and child. A common clinic is Women Infants and Children centers, they provide food stipends, healthcare services, and nutrition education for those with low income. Although this does sounds great, it does not help the mother fully. Most do not have a stable home, or they still live with their parents. As for the adoption, many child that are placed for adoption do not live as long as an average child that grew up with their biological parents. According to “Life Expectancy of Orphans” “… Untied States where, on average, children leaving the Foster System at the age 18: 25% will be homeless, 56% will be unemployed, 27% end up in jail and 30% of females will experience early parenthood.” So in reality, it does not help the women nor the society if she is unable to keep the
