DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Currently studying Television at University is the first step to my hopefully successful career in the television industry. After finishing university, I hope to go on to work alongside a television company, big or small, doing a small role. However, the key skills I will gain from University and experience should help me to get a higher role and enable me to quickly pick up new and more in-depth knowledge of the importance of roles, equipment, and techniques.

BBC Radio Stoke and Signal 1 are both radio stations, which I plan to study in the second semester. By doing my work experience at a radio station, I can develop my skills in that field of work and broaden my experience in the media world. I can offer my skills in the technical aspects and also in presenting, researching and editing. As I have previously done a radio based project at college, using high tech equipment to copy the style of Signal 1’s sister radio station Signal 2.
Ember Television, Slinky Productions, and Birmingham Film Studios are all Television Production Companies, which is the area I specialise in at University. Even shadowing for these companies would be a great experience as not only can pick up on technical skills that they use to make them successful, I can also experience what it’s like to actually work in within an organisation. I can offer these companies my existing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final cut X, Adobe Audition CC, filming with studio and location cameras and successfully using microphones, as well as setting up the equipment without breaching health and safety practice. I can develop these skills whilst undergoing work experience to a somewhat professional level and can also put my existing skills to good
