Over the years, Progressive has remained innovative, unique, and focused on customer relationships, which has aided in attracting new insurance customers. These aspects have differentiated the company from alike competitors as well. The main feature that sets Progressive apart was its unique product and service offerings. At the time, Progressive was the first to have a “24-hour drive thru claim service”, provide low rates for low-risk drivers, and promoted comparison prices (Kotler, Keller 654). Moreover, with these service and product features, Progressive is able to meet individual customer needs. She is representative of the way the company delivers their goods and services. Besides the points already mentioned, Flo mainly demonstrates the company’s values. By always striving to solve problems, she exhibits how the company will always care about their customer’s situation and how Progressive will always strive to work through any tough problems thrown their way. Thus, she exemplifies brand connection. Flo’s Facebook page provides, yet another means of communication which builds relationships. This Facebook page also personifies the brand. Instead of dealing with automated services, Flo illustrates that a personal representative will always be there to help. Besides Flo’s personality, her outfit is very symbolic as well. First, the blue Progressive wording on her coat represents dependability, trust, competence, and integrity (Kotler, Keller 391). However, she is dressed in a white to depict a clean superstore.
