The term progressivism was used to depict the idea of economic and social status during the early 20th century, which was documented in history to show the problems resulting from rapid industrialization in the American society. Not as big yet, but soon grew to be a very big political problem in itself. People in this society, during this time period, were called “Progressives”. This early group of people did not agree or believe in the ideas of Social Darwinism. These people were mainly college educated.
