The story of Prometheus and the stealing of fire often brings us to the question of whether or not fire is a blessing or curse. In his myth, Prometheus steals fire from the gods and defies Zeus’ wishes that man may not have any unusual power. Due to this act that was intended to help humans, Prometheus was punished. Chained to Mount Caucasus to have his liver pecked out by an eagle over and over and over again. Humanity was gifted with fire and has been able to develop, use and learn to control it over thousands of years.
