John Cade should be charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Robert Sheldon. Voluntary manslaughter is an intentional murder that is not premeditated and happens when the suspect is provoked. Evidence was presented that the suspect stabbed the victim deliberately. In Affidavit B, Ponyboy Curtis states, “He would kill the next person who jumped him.” This piece of evidence from the witness reveals that Mr. Cade stabbed Mr. Sheldon on purpose because he knew months ago that he would have to defend himself if something happened.
There are comparisons and contrast in the movie and the book “The Outsiders”. For example in both when Ponyboy and Johnny run away from after killing Bob they go on the train to the abandoned church in both. They are similar because in the story and movie Johnny kills bob then runs away with Pony. They go to Dally where he gave them a pistol and told them to jump on the train and get off at the second stop Windrixville and go to the abandoned church on top of jay mountain. Another example of similarities between both is they still have all the main characters in the greaser gang.

Even so, Johnny should not be charged with murder because because he has all of the things from , for example he has post-traumatic stress(PTSD) from him getting beat by Bob before we know this because the marks on Johnny match with the rings. However, according to First Degree Murder vs. Second Degree Murder the text says “There are certain circumstances that might reduce the sentencing from first or second degree murder to manslaughter or homicide. Depression, post-traumatic stress, mental disorders and self defence”. This shows that Johnny was under symptoms of ptsd. depression, post-traumatic stress, mental disorders and self defence.
Many parents say that the Outsiders has too much violence. Also it has too much death and fights that teenagers don’t need to learn at school. The book The Outsiders is a bad influence on Junior high students. So therefor 7th graders should not read The Outsiders. The first reason that the outsiders should be ban because there is too much fights and people getting jumped in the book Outsiders.

While racism is present in The Wednesday Wars, the subject is not present in The Outsiders.

Our thoughts on these particular aspects are very diverse as the universe is. Many things have been either left out or diminished from the movie, which makes it less interesting as the suspense lessens as you have finished reading the book. All decisions made in the story were crucial in every way since it went over real life situations. One character who’s decisions were influenced by the gang members called the Greasers and the environment he lived in was Johnny. Some decisions Johnny made that were influenced by the gang members were killing the Soc, wanting to turn himself in, and saving the children in the burning church.

A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie.
