Polio rampaged the world before and whilst Ronald Reagan was president, but when he contracted the disease, he announced the war on polio. To defeat polio, scientists used animal testing to learn more about the disease and create a vaccine. Animal Testing was the only thing that was able to assist scientists in saving the world from the disease. Animal testing is when scientists perform tests on animals to gain information for their research. In 2001, around 1,236,900 animals were being tested on. While some believe that animal testing is important, others believe that it is unnecessary. However, it provides scientists with valuable and accurate information.
One argument supporting animal testing is that animals give valuable information.
