We have not had a boat on our shores in 6 months. It has now become quite difficult to come to Australia as a refugee. In 2012 there 29,610 people applying and only 8,367 were recognized as real refugees. Australia feels that what they are doing is right and fair. We will offer protection to refugees as long as they have or apply for a visa, and apply for overseas protection. Personally, I think that we could have handled it without getting the military involved. Our nation could be a little more sympathetic to the people trying to enter it with such big reasons. But, I also think what they are doing is reasonable. Illegal immigrants could be trying to pass themselves of as refugees and getting into the country. I feel that communication is a very big key in all of this, but I do not have a answer to this problem. Australia must do what it has to
