Imagine stepping on your overly soggy lawn thinking about all the concerns we went through while building the Bear River dam. Many people believe that they should build the dam so that we don't run out of the water and can use more water. They also think that is essential due to Utah's growing population. However, they haven't thought of the other concerns that will happen if they build the dam. Building the dam would leave to unnecessary expenses. It will also lead to wildlife concerns along with environmental concerns. Such as, millions of birds dying and the Great Salt Lake could disappear if we build the dam. We shouldn't continue the Bear river project because of the expenses, and it isn't necessary. Continuing this project, we would be letting all the wildlife in that environment just die off.
Some people may be thinking there's not that much wildlife that would be dying. They would be incorrect. There could be millions of birds dying just because we built a dam that destroyed their habitat so that we could use more water. Much of the water would be used for things that are not vital, such as overwatering lawns, driveways, plants, etc.

Last concern to building the dam would be damaging the environment and potentially the economy. One of Utah's biggest attractions could disappear if we built the dam. The bear river feeds into the Great Salt Lake and building the dam will make stop feeding into the Great Salt Lake. Also, Frankel leads us to believe, that the lake could disappear if we continue the Bear River development and combine the climate change. He also made a point that as the population increases it will increase the price of water which will then decrease the economy which won't be
