In the duration of WW1 and WW2, French speaking Canadians were against being conscripted because they felt that there was no point in Canada fighting European wars. Whereas English speaking Canadians supported conscription, mostly to help out Britain in the battles. There was a choice here to either side with the English and conscript people or to side with the French and not go through with it. Canada went through with conscription. This proved to French Canadians that the Canadian government would support the English population whenever there was any form of a debate.(Legare, 2017, 1).

The French and Indian War brought about many positives for Britain and the Thirteen Colonies, including removing France as a threat to North America completely. However, this conflict proved to be wildly expensive for Britain, doubling the national debt. In order to begin cutting back on this debt, the British government began to pass acts that would start taxing the Colonies and controlling the trades in North America. As Americans began to feel the effects of these acts, they began to see the British as encroaching on the freedoms they sought when they traveled to the Colonies. In 1493, Columbus founded the island of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico was finally named this in 1520 after is was named San Juan Bautista by the first settler in 1509 named Juan Ponce de Leon. Puerto Rico started to evolve and in the late 1800’s the first form of government was put to power and abolished slavery. In 1898 the Spanish- American War occurred, in which the U.S. wins Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and others from Spain under the Treaty of Paris. The Organic Act of 1900 was approved, which established the civil government and free commerce between Puerto Rico and the United States.
It was a good idea for the US to add Louisiana. It helped the US become a better and stronger country. The price that was paid was not in lives but in money. Fifteen million dollars is a bargain in today’s prices for all that the US received. There are many pros and there are not too many cons to adding Louisiana.
The colonist were patriots because they were being oppressed by the British and they were trying to have freedoms like every human has the right to. The British taxed the colonist for almost everything that they could which included the Tea act, stamp act, and the sugar act. In 1639 and 1862, a smallpox epidemic brought by the French settlers to Canada caused approximately 20,000 deaths and killed of almost half of the Huron Indians population. In 1605, Samuel de Champlain discovered Canada and in 1608, he founded New France which is Quebec City in modern times. New France had been colonized for over 2 centuries since then, having a long renowned legacy. The effects of the colonization of New France have left Canada with numerous negative impacts. The french have influenced Canada’s education system, order and have left horrible epidemics causing an abundance of deaths.

Patriots never really had to worry about having a place to live because no matter what their was always someone that had a house that you could live with. According to ArticleⅡ, SectionⅠ, Clause Ⅴ, of the Constitution, a person must be a natural-born citizen to be eligible become president. However, many people from other countries have had the qualities and experience necessary to become president, yet they have been hindered from doing so by this foolish provision. Clearly, this is not right. I believe you do not need to be born on US soil, to become president for the following reasons: (1) many people misconceive the meaning of the word natural-born citizen,(2) many people from foreign countries have helped America in many ways,(3) most other countries do not have similar qualifications Firstly, many people misconceive the meaning of the word, natural-born citizen. According to an article by the Harvard Law Review, the word natural-born citizen actually means that a natural-born citizen is someone who has been given birth to by a parent who is a citizen of the United States regardless of where he or she is born, without going through the naturalization process.
Puerto Rico is a beautiful and diverse island with a rich history, culture, and people. Currently, Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States of America but for many years there have been proposals for Puerto Rico to be granted statehood. Puerto Rico was acquired by the United States from Spain after the 1898 Spanish-American War and there have been notions for independence and statehood since the 1950s. As a territory of the US, Puerto Ricans are U. S citizens by birth but they do not have full rights like other states do. Puerto Ricans can vote in presidential elections but have no representation in Congress or the Senate and dont receive many financial benefits stateside citizens receive.

Since people of France were under the control of the King they wanted to get rid of French government to eliminate power of the king. There were numerous other factors that also lead the French to the revolution. There were also many social unfairness among the taxes between the estates.
It is illustrated that some children are raised in the homeless shelter when they are undeveloped. For instance, Eric and Christopher had both grown up in homeless shelters with their family and younger sisters who needed them to go out in the streets to panhandle for enough money for food.
