Coal is a fossil fuel that needs to be made over a million years. It is made from decomposition of organic materials that have been through geologic heat and pressured. Coal is known as a nonrenewable energy because earth can’t replenish it. Of course coal can cause really bad damage, but at the same time it can be very useful at the same time!

The problem that coal solved is generating electricity for us! If I’m not wrong you are all probably using coal to generate your house right now. But why do people use coal?
