Pros And Cons Of Collaboration Project

Collaboration projects are a new trend that I can say I'm not a fan of. While some say that artists are being lazy, I just don't care about a lot of the combinations we receive. I never wanted a Future and Drake project. While I like Travi$ Scott and Quavo as individuals, I really don't need an entire project between the two. At one point in time I actually believed we were getting close to a J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar project but you know how rappers are. Fans have been wanting a a Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino project but I'll be fine if we never get it. I was excited for a Drake and Gucci tape but it's not anything I "needed". I'd like more artists and producer projects like Jay-Z and No ID, or Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier with "PHryme". While I'm not totally against collaboration projects, I realized that the ones I actually want will almost certainly never happen. After a discussion with a friend It got me thinking about what I would actually want to hear. I'm sure you have your list of albums, here are mine with a …show more content…

Cozz & Bas (prediction: 25% chance of happening) This is my list and I get to put whoever I want on it. While this may not be a popular choice, Dreamville artists Cozz and Bas are two underrated rappers that make amazing music together. If you haven't heard "Cozz and Effect" by Cozz, or "Too High to Riot" by Bas, I highly recommend you go out and do so. Despite the two artists having different styles and subject matter, when the two come together they produce magic. Hitting on every track, songs like "Tabs", "I Need That", and "Dopamine", it only makes sense for the two of them to make a project. With the guidance of J. Cole, you have to lesser known acts who have the talent but haven't been able to cross over. The catchy similar names of Cozz and Bas almost writes it self. I like pushing smaller acts who people need to recognize and hear what they have to offer. J. Cole, Bas, and Cozz need to do is all a favor and get it
