Should DACA recipients be deported?
Looking back at America’s history, there have been several occasions in which immigrants were invited into the country. The Reconstruction era and California gold rush are examples of these occasions. Immigrants have always been needed to populate the work force in order to ensure economic growth. As time went by, some Americans decided that these immigrants were not a good fit for society; thus, the legislative branch of government began to establish different ways to restrict the flow of immigrants into the country. DACA provides a two-year deferment from deportation and a work permit. Since registration has commenced, “800,000 so called Dreamers has joined the initiative” (nbcnews.com) providing these individuals with better lives. DACA has made a lot of positive change in the society and it threatens nobody. Thus, there is no reason to take it …show more content…
