Arguments Made Against Imperialism
Those who are opposed to imperialism, which is a term that means expanding the nation, are thought to be a struggling against the country’s fate. (This fate is known as manifest destiny.)
In addition, these “supporters” talk about how imperialism is used to grow the United States’ commercial advantages.
They also state how imperialism can be used to secure the navy facilities that Americans want, so that the United States can have a powerful navy.
The above are thought to be “amazing” ways to improve the United States. However, the United States does not need the baggage that comes along will annexing these new territories. (The risks outweigh the benefits.)

Supporters of imperialism also point out that imperialism is necessary for America to assert its political power across the entire world.
Those who are in favor of the navy, and subsequently of war, are also supporters. (They are in favor of a foreign policy to increase the power of their navy.)
These reasons are absolutely ludicrous and can only lead to a downward spiral of rapid deterioration, in which the United States cannot come back from.
According to the spirit of the United States’ Constitution, any foreign territory America annexes would have to be an equal member with America.
Supporters also make the preposterous argument that if the U.S. does not annex the territory, then some other power will.
Supporters argue that the U.S. must take control of the countries that are badly governed and get into internal dilemmas.
However, the U.S. cannot take care of every country that is badly troubled.
The territories that have an abundance of internal trouble would also be a terrible addition to the United States.
