Keeping Police officer projected Keeping officer projected by giving them a body-mounted camera to ensure they are actually doing their job in an ethical way. In my research, I found that body camera is used to evaluate the use of enforcement. What I mean by that is to determine if a police officer is using his training the right way. My research will show how police officers can protect themselves and the general public with the body camera. Body camera was created to help the community feel safe and hold police officer accountable for their actions, but also to protect law enforcement. If there were not body cameras the victim would have been considered a criminal. The camera is there to project an officer character. It also came alive because an officer shot Michael Brown and there were all different witnesses that witness different altercation. There was no camera there and people came out to protest that it was a wrongful shooting. If an officer had a body camera in that situation it would be easier to determine what really happens. Officer would not want to be considered a bad officer so to protect them from that coming out a body camera would show their character of what type of police officer he/she is. The shooting of Michael Brown brought a lot of anger against the police department because people felt like a justice was not done correctly (nytime.com). The evidence showed that the officer was doing his job correctly but since there was no actual recording of the situation people did not want to believe it.
