Marijuana: A Comprehensive Debate In recent years, the debate of marijuana’s pros and cons has risen to an all-time high due to the legalization of marijuana in Colorado, Washington, California, Alaska, and Nevada. There is the community that believes marijuana has damaged and will continue to damage the states that have legalized it. By default, they believe that the legalization of marijuana is a poor and fatal choice to the United States of America. There is also the community across the aisle that believes that the states that have legalized marijuana are shifting the taboo light on marijuana to a friendlier stance. They believe that the legalization of marijuana across the United States will lead to a stronger economy and safer country. Unfortunately, both communities have something to learn about marijuana and that is this: Marijuana has the ability to be the savior of the people or it has the ability to fall victim to the same woes of alcohol and tobacco. …show more content…
