Some athletes have genetics that allow them to perform at a high level, others do not. By taking PED’S those who do not perform as well as those with better genetics and do not choose to take the drugs for any given sport, are at a dis-advantage. Those who do not choose to take drugs are at a lower standard are majorly disadvantaged making it unfair. Taking performing enhancing drugs gives athletes the ability to perform at their best, achieving personal bests. Performance enhancing drugs can be used in cycles, helping athletes to train aggressively, and then being able to let the drugs leave the system, Doctor Robert Truax states, “You can cycle it so you have moments of medicine in you, do aggressive training and the medicine helps enhance that training,” , After this Truax says, “Then they get off of it, and hopefully their training without the medicine is a little bit better.” , Undergoing a cycle like this leaves you at a much lower risk of health problems and you are able to achieve better results in a sport. PED’s has the potential or the ability to significantly alter the human body and biological functions, including the ability to extensively improve athletic performance. Your sporting abilities are defined by genetics, training and judgment. Some believe that it is unfair for those who do not have the genetic ability to perform sports at a high standard. Performance enhancing drugs allow those with a disadvantage to be able to perform with those at the level who have genetics that allow them to perform at a high standard, subsequently making the world of sports
