The legal age for a driver's licence should be lowered, not raised. Did you know that Teens are four times more likely to die or be injured in a car crash than older people? In this essay i'm going to talk about teens babysitting, birthday parties and for the counter argument how they are distracted easily.

The legal age for a driver's licence should be lowered, not raised. One reason is if your parents leave you alone to babysit, then if a kid you're babysitting gets injured then you can just drive them to the hospital. If it's really bad and can't wait on the parents to get home to take them. Also if the parents ask you to take them to the park to hang out with their friends. You can drive them instead of walk miles to get there. Plus if there's a birthday party you don't have to rely on anyone for a ride there and back. And they cant get picked up by her friend unless there's room for you to go and make sure they're safe. …show more content…

According to Maria Wojtczak, by delaying the start of training we are most likely reducing the amount of time that a teen gets to practice under the watchful eye of a responsible adult. All so the earlier you start the more driving time you have. According to debatewise We are smarter than you think. We have learned stuff in high school, even middle school, which you didn't learn until college. We can make good decisions on our own life. Now they are teaching life management at sophomore year in some schools. If we didn't know how to make good decisions before, now we do.
According to I happen to be a competent 14 year old.I believe that the driving age should be lowered, because already kids have to take a test and a class to get their driver's license, what's the difference if they take that test at a younger age?
