For McDonald’s, the company mission is not only making the profit for its company but also bring values to the society by performing the corporate social responsibility. In 2001, McDonald’s have participated in the business program of Sydney Water Every Drop Counts. This program can help them easy to monitor and manage the water usage in their restaurants. It gives a chance for McDonald’s to make better in water management and helps execution saving in water measure (Macca's and the Environment , n.d.). So, McDonald’s has committed themselves to improve the environmental performance of their business for the interest of everyone. McDonald’s says that, they are working to reducing the energy consumption of the working process so that they can help them to save money and reduce the environmental impacts, it helps them to perform more efficiently. In McDonald’s restaurant, the natural gas and the electrical energy which are used by the McDonald restaurant caused the greenhouse gas emission. McDonald’s disclose that there are 2 key areas of the usage of energy within the restaurant which are heating and cooling system and cooking appliances, this 2 areas have used approximately 80% of all the energy usage within the restaurant. McDonald’s put much effort in energy conservation, when a new McDonald’s restaurant is opened or an old McDonald’s restaurant is being updated, the McDonald’s management will always install more efficient fitting and equipment which making significant difference in energy
