She had the opportunity and, perhaps, the motive (21). She had misled the family about her name, birth place as well as age (22). Cook notes that Rosenblum had no conscience (23). A great spy quality, especially at this age and time.
Doesn’t she realize how unworthy she is of the gentleman we have found to be
This too is an example of why she took the actions that she
Rationale: The Things I Carry In part 4: Critical study, we have examined the text The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, I have attempted to replicate a passage from his work to exemplify both the physical and the abstract things I carry with me on a daily basis. Through my written task, “The Things I Carry”, I have attempted to capture an honest introspection of a girl of indomitable spirit despite all the ordeals in her life by mimicking Tim O’ Brien’s writing style. I mirrored O’ Brien’s writing style in how I structured my essay.
Technical support The largest issues caused by the bill are direct conflicts between U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Alaska Department of Natural Resources (ADNR). The supporters of HJR 69 boasted faulty claims for support, using a political platform created by Trump to oppose all Obama-era rules for being too liberal (Ruskin 2017). Comments in support of HJR 69 state that the prohibitions would affect Alaska residents’ access to hunting land and subsistence hunting. Proponents of the bill also voiced fears that the federal government would take state land as well as control over it, thus taking power from states.
And because of her actions, she puts her family and herself in a terrible situation, which leads to the demise of them all. Grandmother’s dishonesty begins when she brings her cat along for the trip to Florida. She does so behind her son’s back, because she knows that he will not approve. This would seem harmless initially, however, secretly bringing the cat along turns out to be a terrible idea. Another example of the grandmother’s dishonesty is when she lies about the old house that she wants to see.
After giving her fifteen minute speech the house floor fell mostly silent; everyone was looking for McCarthy to respond however his response was simply to leave the room without a word. Smith was then praised by several fellow senators and within time gained praise from President Nixon himself, saying, “Mrs. Smith, your Declaration of Conscience was one of the finest things that has happened here in Washington in all my years in the Senate and the White House. " Despite the praise she had gotten, her wishes did not prevail, and many Republicans fell into the same vortex of the things she had condemned. McCarthy and his allies proceeded to smear Smith and belittle her followers any chance they were given. It was not until four years later that things began to turn around for Smith and her assertions.
Along with being the President of the United States, Bill Clinton also holds the title of a liar. After months of going behind the back of wife Hillary Rodham Clinton, the media, as well as the courts, accuse him of having a sexual relations with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. In an attempt to salvage his reputation, along with his family’s reputation, he lies and denies all accusations during a court trial in which he testifies against Paula Jones’s sexual misconduct accusations, as well. After many reports of sexual harassment, Bill Clinton’s word can be seen as unreliable. Proven in Clinton’s speech, it becomes apparent that he is unreliable when he takes back his denial of the situation and formally apologizes to his family and the people of America for his intolerable actions.
When making a decision on who the next president should be, one tends to look at who the supporters of the particular candidate are. There is, however, one particular candidate who has the support of the nation’s very own first lady and that person is Hillary Clinton. In an article published by “The Washington Post”, it provides the entire transcript that was used when Michelle Obama delivered her speech to the Democratic National Convention, in Philadelphia about why she believes that the next U.S. president should be Mrs. Clinton. One of many persuasive techniques that Mrs. Obama uses in her speech is pathos, which is when one attempts to persuade someone into doing something through the use of emotions. Mrs. Obama uses pathos successfully because she compels the audience to empathize with her, motivates them into taking action, and provides a reasonable argument as to why she believes that Hillary Clinton should be president.
so it’s not like she said “I'm going to cheat on my husband
She takes this stance and thoroughly employs an emotional appeal to manipulate
O’brien portrays this idea in his short story when he says, “The things they carried were determined to some extent by superstition. Lieutenant Cross carried his good-luck pebble. Dave Jensen carried a rabbit’s foot” (pg. 9). Throughout the story, the men are faced with different adversities, and at each turn it ends back up with O’brien talking about their different items. O’brien does this because it is a universal truth that people carry things with them that they feel can help them in times of trouble.
She believed that the senators would side with her, because she believed in humanistic honor. She believed that all people deserved to be treated properly. Towards the end of the play, she talks about how she had been treated inhumanely toward her presumable death. Ismene:
Hillary Clinton’s main purpose is to explain everyone how women’s rights are human rights. This is stated clearly as main claim and a conclusion in her speech. “If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, let it be that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights once and for all” (Clinton). She supports her main claim through inductive logic by giving examples of what women are suffering from. Clinton mentions about how the society is violating women’s right by stating how women are being set on fire, raped, abused, which is against the human rights.
Not only can she not apologize, but she still calls her “old lady”, which is very
