2.1.1. Description of the Occupation Judges, Magistrate or Magistrate Judge is an occupation where rapid reaction and “good memory” play a vital role. As written by Sally Kane (2016), an attorney and writer specializing in legal, a judge is an appointed or elected magistrate who presides over court proceedings and rules on questions of law, acts as a referee between the litigating parties and renders decisions in legal disputes. In term of “good memory”, a judge need to be aware of and possess the knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process (O*NET OnLine, 2016). Good memory is important as a judge need to memorize and familiar with the nation’s law which are categorized into various acts and further divided into sections, and what is more memory dependent is in each court case ongoing, a defendant is often charged under one or multiple laws which may differ in their acts and sections. Firstly, by hiring young adults as waiters, they are able to perform more efficiently compared to the older adults. According to Kensinger (2008), memory complaints are frequent among older individuals. This memory decline may cause the older adults who work as waiters to have a hard time as they may make mistakes on their customers’ orders. This may result in dissatisfaction of the customers and thus, affect the overall reputation of the café or restaurant. On the other hand, studies found that young adults are often associated with better memory (Ballesteros & Mayas, 2015). This better memory enables them to remember better regarding the customers’ orders when they are working as waiters. As a result, mistakes committed due to forgetting can be minimized by hiring young adults instead of older
