I would not like my every move tracked in a stores simply from me performing an action such as tucking in my shirt after using the restroom. I pretty much am just doing a simple tasks of keeping myself neat and order, not that I am trying to hide and conceal something within the garments I have on. I also feel that even if my face is blurred I still feel that it's a violation of my privacy to track my every move and not have reasonable cause to watch me besides an assumption. So what if I tucked in my shirt 10 times, however it may sound that may cause me to be suspicious or cause one to believe I am trying to shoplift however, that does not imply that is what i am doing or a just cause to track me throughout the store because of my OCD behavior. …show more content…
I would look at that as a violation to my privacy and rights because tucking in your shirt does not necessarily imply I am stealing. Shoplifters can steal in more ways than tucking things under their shirt. Perhaps they have kid stroller present in which they are tucking things under would that person be monitored each time they reached down in their baby stroller. WHile I am being tracked whether by photos with blurred faces and heat maps, I look at that as a violation to my privacy and rights because it is being performed without my consent. Furthermore, I know many retail stores may do this and customers are not aware but I do not feel it is right to simply imply that I am performing an illegal act simply from using the restroom or tucking my shirt in. Therefore, in my opinion, why does those actions constitute a right to monitor me? I don’t feel that is suspicious enough activity to warrant being followed through the store.
