Death or complete solitude? A debate that has been going on for quite a while and that debate is whether capital punishment is far worse than solitary confinement or if solitary confinement is worse than a execution. Solitary confinement is being confined to a small room for 23 hours a day with no outside contact and on the other hand capital punishment is a fancy way saying execution with the government approval. Which of these would be worse? Both have been around for centuries and both of these punishments have their cons and pros. Many claim that capital punishment as given in the Argument Essay on Capital Punishment is “against human rights for life and it is cruel to not give criminals another chance.” For capital punishment it could perhaps be said it is some efficient way to get “rid” of fierce criminals but it certainly has many individuals and morals which oppose his punishment. For instance there are a band of individuals who are the Anti-Capital Punishment who claim capital punishment is morally wrong claiming in certainly back to the government on how they don’t have the right to take a life. Capital Punishment, for many might think that its murder that goes against human right and that the only difference between murder and this punishment is that the government kills them instead. They are correct to say this because they believe that everyone might make mistakes and they should have the right to correct them. These anti-capital punishment people say that people's' families who had a member subject to it shouldn't go through this or that if society changes to being less hostile it will change criminal lives and give for changes. They are right, but it’s a two sided coin by that meaning giving some a second chance might just kick everything back exactly where it began causing more destruction than last time. I would say this statement because even if they deserve to die, what right do we or the government have on taking their life away on our own judgment. Capital punishment may just set the example that society is still living in the past, when executing someone on the spot is ok if the government approves of it. Solitary confinement may be a spiteful punishment that leads people into insanity, but it is a option that can change for the worse or the better and is a decision that can be changed. Unlike solitary confinement in capital punishment when people are killed without a second chance they won’t come back. Also capital punishment, mostly benefits the government in which they reduce financial spending on keeping the prisoners alive on things such as food, electricity,water, cloth and even just space. In solitary confinement, time will be there punishment in which they have time to reflect or just time to payback the life or the crime they took or committed. But solitary confinement doesn’t prove satisfying to some families who unfortunately had the crime done to them, which would lead many into the option that it isn’t true justice. But this can be debated back with the fact whether what true justice is. So in my option I would side with solitary confinement because it is certainly better than a execution
