The election Gore V. Bush was not legitimate. Both parties used their advantages to the fullest no matter how unfair. For example, when Bushes team found out that there was still 51 counties and Gore was only down by 98 votes, they put the counting to a stand still. Bushes team in a way bought the Florida Legislator for their decision.
The United States just elected a new president recently. This is a major event, because this is a country that values the citizens right to vote above many other rights and privileges. The months and weeks leading up to the election were very divisive and showed how humans have a long way to go before reaching a peaceful resolution of
Based on his campaign visits, it is no surprise that Bill Clinton won the Election of 1996. Did you know that the U.S has the oldest constitution in the world? A constitution is a framework for a government and our government has many different parties of government. Some of them include the Republican and the Democrats. However, James Madison, who is the “father of the government,” stated that our government is a “Republican-Democratic” government. Why do we need a republican-democratic government?
After nearly fifty days in the White House, President Trump has done an excellent job. On his second day in office he vowed to destroy the Islamic State, and on his ninth day he fulfilled his promise of a 5 year-ban on officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government, and a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government, which was a promise kept. (foxnews.com) My favorite quote by my President Trump is “My policy is to learn from the past, focus on the present, and dream about the future. " I think that this quote describes him perfectly as a president.
The elections of 1800 and 2016 show a similarity in the way each party attacked each other. Many people think that the 2016 presidential election was the worst for mudslinging that there has ever been. However, if we look back to the presidential election of 1800 between Jefferson and Burr, we would see very similar picture. In the 1800’s, the candidates and their political parties would use their influence with the media to spread lies and misinformation about the other candidates, just like they did in the 2016 presidential election. It seems the media of today has definitely chosen sides just like they did in the 1800’s.
If I were to vote for a party, technically to avoid committing a felony I wouldn’t vote as i'm not 18 yet, but if I were allowed, my views would most definitely align with the Liberal Party of Canada. Some of my main issues that they have a mandate to support are, have a focus on youth issues as it is imperative to focus on the leaders of the next generation. Furthermore, their plans seem beneficial to the majority of Canadians thus the middle class, their diverse investment in modern public transport, is a crucial issue to be as well. Many governments like to focus on the richer demographic, as it may have direct benefits on the economy, but I agree that the Liberals investment in providing interesting plans to positively impact

The election of 1948 was the 41st Presidential election in the United States. The two frontrunners for each party were President Harry S. Great again’ implies that America was once great but no longer is. Democrat or Republican? I am a democrat. My first reason why I support the democratic side is because I believe that the wealthy needs to pay more taxes. My second reason is that I believe in quality, affordable healthcare.
Democrats repeatedly encounter trouble with voicing consensus in a debate that centers more and more on the means of the established foreign policy rather than on its ends. In spite of common support for multilateralism and America’s role as a Global Good Samaritan, Democrats have teetered between the assertions of the “dove” and “hawk” wings of their party since the Vietnam War. As a result, the splintered facets of the Democratic Party have perpetuated the perception that Democratic political leaders are not relevant in the foreign policy arena. Furthermore, Democratic public servants (particularly Democratic Presidents) consistently present notions of America’s global leadership that demonstrates the divide among the party elite and the
The Federalist Papers are some of the most important words that have been written in this history of the United States and were written by Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison who is responsible for Number 10. Madison focuses Number 10 on factions, their causes, and the result of their existence. Madison beings by stating the capability of the Constitution to control the outcome of factions, such as violence or damage and goes on to state the causes of factions and the solutions to their existence. Madison’s main focus in his paper is factions and their outcomes; a faction is simply a group of people with a common interest, either the “majority or minority of the whole.” Factions originate when people divide themselves over

In the year 1800, the United States was a fragile new republic with many issues yet to resolve. Perhaps one of the greatest struggles facing this new nation was conflicting views on were government power should lie.
