The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was established with the goal of providing and improving access to quality and affordable universal health insurance coverage for all Americans. The objective of the ACA was to deliver assistance to improve access to affordable health coverage and deliver American citizens with more rights and protections by reducing health care expenditure for both individuals and the government. It permitted citizens with low income to acquire healthcare cheaply by providing cost subsidizations to moderate income earners and small businesses through taxing health care sponsors and high income earners. Surely the act supports American citizens who cannot afford healthcare, but the citizens who are capable of affording the Affordable Care or any other kind of health insurance are the ones who can be considered as being responsible for making this act affordable. It would not be an understatement to say that by commencing higher taxes on people who have higher incomes, the ACA becomes what it calls as being affordable.
