The American revolution all started because of taxes. The colonist got really mad at the British for taxing all of their important goods. The british always treated the colonist poorly since they came and invaded their homes. By this time the british were sick and tired of the colonists so they started a war.
The American Revolutionary War was a war fought from 1775-1783, also known as the American War of Independence, between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the thirteen colonies. The colonies wanted independence and free from British rule. In order to gain their independence the colonies had to fight for it.
The Revolutionary War resulted from an increased tension between Great Britain and her colonies because of elected officials, western land dispute, mercantilism. Great Britain was by far the strongest country in the 18th century and was still growing, while the colonies were just getting started. Colonies fought and won a war against Britain to declare their independence. In the eighteenth century, being an American meant having a government that changes and evolves over time.
