Taking this class in Nottingham would allow me to observe a completely different health care system since England’s health care is provided by the government through the National Health System (NHS) with additional options to purchase private health care insurance. On the contrary, the United States health care is a private sector business and requires individuals to buy their own insurance. Since there needs to be major improvements in the United States health care system, it would be interesting to observe the pros and cons of a government health care system. This class in Nottingham has several opportunities that Luther does not offer, such as the clinic where they exchange used needles for clean needles. This is a really unusual clinic since there is controversy on whether this helps addicts or if it just increases the use of drugs.
