The human species is still very young on the planet earth, and that we have yet to see a lot of what is possible to know and to become in foreseeable future. But success in this enterprise is far from assured, because we still have our limited human wisdom, knowledge, and compassion to guide us through the transition. Our efforts with the use of development of human enhancement tools, to eliminate or minimize the major catastrophic risks, and the works to alleviate the sources of human suffering would be our job to improve the human condition. Our future knowledge should be more radical that it can promote not only traditional means of improving human nature, such as education and cultural refinement, but also direct application of modern medicine and more advanced technology to overcome some of our basic biological limits.
