America has always been defined as a nation with a lot of immigrants, and it has therefore always been a big issue between the politicians and American citizens. But lately people have expressed irritation with the immigration system that is essentially broken, and a new controversial law in Arizona has absolutely heated up the debate. But why is it that so many Americans fear immigration when it in so many ways has contributed to the American society? Every new generation of immigrants has given fear towards Americans, but the fear is based on the fear of the unknown. The thoughts about immigration are nothing new, and they are probably never leaving the country in any case. Many of the immigrants who come to the US to get a job at the low end of the working sector, and they stayed out of trouble. But as long some of the immigrants choose not to be a part of the American system, they are very exposed to the businesses, which pay them under the minimum wages and don’t follow safety restrictions. Crimes go on unreported, there is around 11 million undocumented immigrants in the US, and millions of taxes get lost because many immigrants are paid under the table witch makes it very difficult to stop this problem. That is a huge issue for the US and the government, and that could lead to a bad economy on sight. Even though the 11 million undocumented immigrants who broke the law should be taking responsibility, it is very difficult and almost impossible for the government to stop the issue. That’s why the state Arizona has decided to take matters into their own hands, and they have created a new state immigration law. The law requires the police to check the peoples ID who they think look suspicious. It will help the country with those who are living illegally in the state.
