The earth is suffering from many calamities, such as typhoons, earthquakes, floods, etc., made by the people without responsibly knowing how to prevent such. Recycling is one of the best ways to prevent this from happening.
Mandatory recycling is meant for keeping the environment of a business clean and ultimately reduces the global warming. According to the City of Jeannette, Pennsylvania (2015), people know that recycling plays an important role in managing the garbage generated in homes and businesses, it reduces the need for landfills and incinerators. Based on the popular website, greenguardian.com (2015), recycling is a very helpful instrument to prevent global warming. Global warming is the environmental issue that never stops because it causes us troubles in our daily lives. “By saving energy in industrial production through recycling, the greenhouse gas emissions from factories and industrial plants are lessened and the use of fuels that emit harmful gases during production is also minimized. Recycling non-biodegradable waste
(rather than burning it) will contribute a lot to help reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases that depletes the ozone layer,” stated in the article, Benefits of Recycling (2015). One way to eliminate garbage is through burning, but some people have no idea of what are the bad effects of it. Pollution- free atmosphere and environment will result to a better living.
Lastly, mandatory recycling helps to save money that is spent for disposing trash and other waste materials of a business. Based on Santa Barbara County’s Recycling Resource (2015), the formula for a successful business: maximize income and minimize costs. Net operating costs can be reduced because recycling is less expensive than trash disposal, re-manufactured goods can save money, and it doesn’t cost much to start recycling programs but the savings continue for as long as the program is in place. According to the City of Jeannette, Pennsylvania (2015), we can get a lot of benefits of recycling.
