This can lead to withdrawal or isolation, being victims of bullying or be bullies, sometimes without even being aware. For example, in school readiness socially withdrawn children can make learning be difficult for them as they will constantly refrain from taking part in class discussions or debates and those who are not socially withdrawn can easily make progress. Secondly children who are socially developed possess a set of social skills that enable them to cope at school. For example in terms of school readiness, they easily make friends, they are able to interact with their significant others and they do not fear making mistakes (Killen & Coplan, 2011). Social development in children is of utmost importance, it shapes children to become social beings and do what is socially acceptable in their communities or society as a whole. Conclusion In the above assignment we discussed the four domains of development separately which are physical, cognitive, personality and social development with regards to school readiness.
