Theoretical Framework The second section within the paper will discuss the psychological effects of homelessness on women. The psychological effect of homelessness is very harsh trauma to an individual; when a person loses their income through job loss, low/cut in pay, and unemployment/underemployment it hurts the emotional being of the person. If the person had a decent paying job and now the income is gone, a tremendous burden is placed on the individual. The emotional state of the mind is at a low point and this can cause depression to set in and a loss of hope. It takes re-training of the mind to motivate a positive change in seeking job opportunities. Re-training to compete for some computer jobs is needed, during this transition
