No one is born with a criminal mind. No is born with thoughts of killing someone or robbing a store. Although certain altercations in your brain due to genetics and biology can make people more susceptible to criminal thoughts and activities. Those with damaged frontal lobes or amygdalae may experience issues with their personalities and emotions. Thus, they may have trouble discerning between good or bad, due to not being able to feel remorse, guilt, or shame. These defects in the brain can later cause people to become psychopaths. Although not all psychopaths are violent, very rarely do they become killers. Nor do all psychopaths necessarily become criminals. Lastly not every criminal has problems with their brains. Both biology and environment are equally important in shaping a person’s character and morals. Someone who cannot feel remorse or guilt may be taught to learn that such criminal actions cause terrible harm to themselves and society, that way possible criminal action may be impeded. This means taking steps to address why the psychopaths committed the crime. Did they kill out of anger, lust, or just for pleasure? Was it because of the environment they lived in while growing up? All these factors must be considered in order to get to the root of the problem and help psychotics with their issues. It is important to remember that not everyone will change, some may not be able to ever leave jail if you know they will just kill or rob again. After a certain period of time without help, these psychopaths could be beyond the point of return. They like anybody, have their own opinions and philosophies and will be harder to sway then the average person due to their lack of remorse or guilt.
