When I had first approached this project, my first task was to define each of the words for more clarity as to what they meant and how they related to each other. After defining them, I decided to categorize every word plus an additional word in order to have 4 groups that all contained 5 words each. I admit that I am more of a categorical person, and group and placing things together has always worked out better for me. This part was based on my opinion as I group together words with similar themes or meanings or by how easy they could connect to each other. Simultaneously, while categorizing the words together, I was planning out how to make my actual map look presentable. The sole reason as to why I chose 4 groups of words,was because that was as many varieties of colored paper and marker that I had had. I enjoyed the freedom this project allowed us as far as creativity, because while my map was fairly simple, I was still able to make it unique and fit the way that I enjoy to learn the most. …show more content…
The pieces of paper were connected by the word “Evolution” in red. After, I used notebook paper and wrote every single word in a certain co,or by its group, where I glued them by that manner too. Next up was the arrow phase, where I drew huge arrows from the word “Evolution” to each group and had smaller arrows going between individual words. Some words, I connected across different groups. That way of thinking, where I would first connect similar words and then go on further to other ideas is how I like to think about
