How can survival be possible for both new Martians and Puritans landing on unknown soil? Well the Puritans had to develop a system of commerce with towns such as Marblehead “the Puritans allowed this for the sake of commerce. Many skills were necessary for a vibrant economy” (us history). These skills included farming and fishing they wanted to learn this new way of living to sustain their existence. On hand other they had no official training before they departed England therefore being assessing no survival skills having to rely on the Indians. As for these new Martians their food choice would only be freeze dried and canned food. They would undergo technical training, personal training, and group training in order to survive this journey of no return.
