destination. The Puritans voyage will also face hardship as they traveled along the stormy seas. This journey lasted about “For sixty-seven days the passengers on the Mayflower had to deal with poor living conditions, spoiled provisions and the constant threat of disease.” The May flower was not created for accommodating its passengers so each individual found and area below deck to rest themselves. The voyage was filled with storms and windstorms which often affected many of the travelers to become nauseous making living on the boat worse. Every once in a while few individuals would come out from below deck but that wasn’t an everyday rate. How can survival be possible for both new Martians and Puritans landing on unknown soil? Well the Puritans had to develop a system of commerce with towns such as Marblehead “the Puritans allowed this for the sake of commerce. Many skills were necessary for a vibrant economy” (us history). These skills included farming and fishing they wanted to learn this new way of living to sustain their existence. On hand other they had no official training before they departed England therefore being assessing no survival skills having to rely on the Indians. As for these new Martians their food choice would only be freeze dried and canned food. They would undergo technical training, personal training, and group training in order to survive this journey of no return. During their process there will be “The astronauts will be required to learn many new skills and gain proficiency in a wide variety of disciplines.” (Mars one). There must also be extensive medical training in order to be able to treat minor and critical health problems, persons will train in studies on Mars geology while another will gain expertise in 'exobiology ' and also specialties like physiotherapy, psychology, and electronics in order
