FCS In Action Committee Building community and improving the lives of students within the Faculty of Community Services. FCS in Action is about giving back to our community; building a faculty where students are all welcomed, loved, and accepted. Purpose The sole purpose of the committee is to build community. To create a place of belonging for all students within the faculty. To recruit students from all programs within the faculty. These students will act as an ambassador to their fellow students. In addition, they will voice issues and concerns that are dear to them and their peers, while assisting in planning programs and services that are beneficial to all students within the Faculty. The Vice chair will also support the secretary with the filing of documents and the meeting minutes. Roles and responsibility To work alongside the Chairperson in ensuring that the mandate and functions of the Committee Are carried out. To preside at meetings of the Board when the Chairperson is not present and ensure that the decisions made are in line with the aims and objectives of the FCS In Actions Committee. To represent FCS In Action Committee and act as an ambassador of FCS and the committee in the community and promote its goals and objectives. With the Chairperson, establish and maintain harmonious relationships with the Committee Members, and to encourage effective communication between the organisation and the community. In the instance that the Community Engagement Officer or the Secretary are Absent, The Chair or Vice Chair will be required to assume their roles. If the position is vacant the role will be divided between all the executive Personals. Requirements Must be a full time student within the Faculty of Community
