Pursuing A Career In Primary Education

A firm passion for learning and teaching, not only others but myself included, coupled with my regular work experience and innate ability to connect with younger children, are qualities I have, which I feel make me the ideal candidate to embark on any Primary Education degree course. I find myself intrigued by the human developmental capacity to acquire new skills and knowledge, I am also keen to further develop my understanding of the psychology of children, and enhance my skills in their care and education. A Primary Education course offers me the prospect to fulfil my desire to make an enduring impression upon the lives of individual children and the wider community.

I was also involved in talking and listening to children to complete the key aims of developing motor, coordination, and communication skills. Whilst on a placement at a school for pupils with special education needs, my one-to-one support for a girl with a severe learning disability has highlighted the urgent need to fully appreciate the limitations children may suffer and how to adapt myself in order to work best to help them succeed in tasks.
I developed my communication skills with pupils whilst improving my classroom conduct, by assessing their individual abilities and therefore developing engaging ways to present information, so it is clear and accessible. This was done by spending a year closely working with my Secondary School teachers, observing how staff plan, and cooperate with each other, displaying teamwork, trust and structure contribute to a successful teaching environment.
My creativity, reliability, and enjoyment of working with others are skills I can bring to both university and as I qualify to be a teacher. Following this enjoyment of primary school education, I am certain that my career lies within the field.
