Editor: Video editors are responsible for manipulating film and audio that is seamless to the audience. They input music, dialogue, graphics and effects. I am attracted to this kind of job because, I am a creative thinker and I have good storytelling skills. I have experience in video editing from learning the basic skills from a number of courses I took in high school. Education: To become a video editor the required education is a bachelor's degree of Fine Arts and Video Production at the minimum, or a full master's degree in Fine Arts and Video Production. Being a director is a high pressure job because they must work under strict deadlines, balancing a budget as well as working with many different personalities. I find this kind of because I think that it would be a very challenging and enjoyable job. I think that that I would be good at this job because I am organized and am good at communicating with people. Education: Director are required to have an educational background of a Bachelor's degree in film, cinema or a related field. It is required to have ENG4U as well as 5 additional U or M courses. Movie Directors are hired based on the strength of their previous work, they can be hired by the producers of the movies or they become independent filmmakers. Camera Operator: A movie camera operator is required to follow the instruction of the director. They must use their knowledge of videography so that the lighting and special effects are captured in each scene. I think that I would be good for this kind of job because I can clearly communicate with other, I am a good listener and I have good hand eye coordination. Education: There is no required education in order to become a camera operator, however a bachelor's degree in videography, journalism, television, and film can provide excellent training. The prerequisites to all of these courses is ENG4U and an additional 5 U or M courses. Wages: As of 2014 the average salary of a camera operator is $56,510.
