I have become interested in the computer science when I took my first computer science course in my first semester at Syracuse University. It was my first time to use the programming knowledge l learned to implement a dice gambling game as course final project. Although I had spent more than two weeks on implementing this game and resolving bugs in the program, I enjoyed this debugging process because the sense of achievement I gained through assiduous work from this project was the best feeling I have ever had. This achievement triggered my conviction that I may be well suited to this field.
After finishing this course, I have gradually found that programming had impressive power to solve particular problems in a short time. Thus, I began to use it to solve Sudoku, which was my favorite game in my childhood. A 20 lines of recursion program was able to solve Sudoku puzzles within a second, which I used to solve manually in an hour. Since then, I started thinking if I engage in the computer science field in the future, I might be able to resolve puzzles in specific research or work area. With this dream, I began to apply for an internship where I could put my …show more content…

These internship experience really inspired my enthusiasm on the computer science field. I have implemented a tool to automatically split the master work file into several smaller files. Compared to manually splitting the work file of a large project in an hour, those project managers only need to wait for a few minutes to let this task be done by the tool I implemented. After putting this tool into work cycle, I realized I have the capability of implementing tools in real work and achieving success in computer science field. This accomplishment and satisfaction from my manager further convinced me that I am able to achieve success in the computer science
