"Pursuing Dreams"

As Universal Pictures hired away Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who was the character I created in the year of 1927, everything was taken away from me. For all the hard work and effort I've put into creating this character with his big button nose and floppy black ears and filming series of shorts that were instant hits, all of this ended up with not much success. "Everything was gone, and I didn't deserve this. "Mortimer Mouse, you said?" asked my wife. "Yes, is there anything wrong with the character? Or is it the name?" I curiously asked. "In fact, yes it is the name. Mortimer, well Mortimer seems too—I do not know how to describe it. I apologize if I do not think that the name coordinates with his character," said my wife. "No, I will change it to-Mickey Mouse. Instead of Mortimer Mouse, it will be Mickey. There, I hope that sounds better for the character's name," I stated. "Indeed, it does," my wife said. On the following day, since we had already figured out our new character for Disney Brother Studios, we started our great project of making a series of short films of our Mickey Mouse, just as we had done to Oswald.
