She also emphasizes the importance of providing guidance and creating intertie in students to do the right thing and to enjoy the process of writing. Southworth explains the difference between intentional and unintentional plagiarism and the negative results of both. The article also explains how the internet makes plagiarism easy and tempting to students who just want to get it done without much interest in their work. Students’ attitudes not to care for learning for the sake of knowledge, but to produce something anyhow, is well explained as intentional plagiarism. This article is very significant as a teaching material in academic circumstances and in preventing students from cheating and in implementing writing ethics. By reading this article, I have learned a great deal about the negative result of the plagiarism.
