In William Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies, an ample amount of kids and young adolescents become stranded on a tropical island due to their plane crashing and creating a “scar” on the island. When a majority vote to make Ralph leader of the community, Jack later leaves and forms his own, the Hunters. In order for someone to be a great and successful leader, one must be dominant and civilized. Without these two specific traits, the person will not get the respect from his followers and will eventually lose his leadership to someone else more reliable. One dominant leader that was masterly able to control his army, the Nazis, was Adolf Hitler.

The book Lord of the Flies by William Golding is a young adult fiction about a group of 6-12 year old kids who get stranded on an island with no adults, and have to figure out how to survive. Also they have to figure out who will be the leader on the island because they have people with different outlooks on what to do.
In the book the Lord of the Flies by William Golding, there are many prevalent themes. One theme the influence of a strong leader be them good or bad, oftentimes causes the followers to bend their morals to conform to their leaders. Another such theme is when the members of a society pursue self-interests to the exclusion of cooperation as a group toward common goals, the society is likely to become fragmented and in conflict. One final theme it that the The rules and laws of society function to contain and suppress the natural human tendency that many people have toward evil. Along with multiple examples in the book, these claims are also supported by real world examples.
Leadership takes notice, responsibility, self-development, and experience. Thoughts pop up when one thinks of a leader, perhaps a captain of a team, the president, maybe even the bigger brother. These people are mostly responsible and developed, they take notice into what is happening in any situation but the experience is where a leader and a follower have things in common in most situations. Lord of the Flies is a book where children are trapped on a deserted island and have to create their own small world. Jack is one of the chosen leaders in the book, he came with most of the children from the plane crash.
Leadership is a principal theme in Lord Of The Flies as it shows how being a leader is difficult and how society can crumble, effortlessly. It also implicitly explains how societies need leadership; it is the pillar that holds society from crumbling down. To be a leader isn’t that hard. How Leadership Affect Society Would a bad leader be able to form a good society? There is always a leader whether it is a country or a small group. Having a leader that knows what is best for their members and who has power to lead the group to fight against their enemy will help the group grow. With a leader who doesn't know how to lead their group will not be able to help improve the community. It’s only natural for citizens to feel somewhat disconnected from the leaders in their lives.
