Quality Care Homes is a company dedicated to dignified, quality eldercare. Quality Care Homes is modeled after group homes in the DD field (developmental disability)—where several people in need of care and/or support share a home. From there, they are looked after in a more personalized setting, allowing for better relationships to be developed and a higher quality of life. PERSONAL OVERVIEW Abby has worked in the care industry for over ten years. She’s provided a wide spectrum of support for people of all ages, specializing in residential care for people with disabilities. Abby has experience working in direct support, as a manager, in contracted care, and in financials and HR. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family studies in 2014 and has her teacher’s certificate. Abby believes that every person deserves quality care and a meaningful life. Abby was introduced to this idea as a coworker was visiting with her about the lack of alternatives that elderly people have for care. Our goal for the first year of operation, is to start two quality care homes and to develop and train caretakers to support our residents. With the development of these care homes, we will be working closely with the caretakers to ensure best possible care is provided and to develop effective company procedures. We aim to have high involvement of our clients’ loved ones during this process to provide feedback as we navigate our first year of operation. From there, we will focus on expanding—taking time to properly train our caretakers to take whole care of the individual we are supporting. Administrator involvement will be a priority, taking time to ensure that with each expansion, we avoid sacrificing
