The quality of Work is a level of satisfaction and comfort which a person can gain while working for a company. Good firms always try to provide security, comfort, pride and ownership to their workers because it enhances the quality of work. It is a self-satisfaction which a worker gains due to supportive behavior, open communication and sense of ownership from his employer.

We can define Quality of Work Life as a life of workers, their personal life. How they think about different things and how they feel about others. What they desired to have including ownership, security, benefits and friendly environment to work. Thus, quality of work does not only cover the life of worker inside but also outside the work. Same was the case when after industrial revolution the importance of Quality of Work Life was not considered. Many issues like resources deficiency, financial issues, environmental problems and quality of products started. It was realized that Quality of Work Life has its importance and it cannot be denied. The systematic approach to work life compels organization for making up of new strategies and policies, both for male and female. It not only helps workers but also the parent organization. In 1975, Walton gave a thought that every worker in his/her life passes through a phase of discomfort and dissatisfaction. And this frustration affects the working capabilities and efficiency of worker, which ultimately affects the organizational output and name.
The Quality of Work Life reduces the chances of these type of disturbance and aggravation through job security, employees satisfaction, care and a good reward system. Another issue which disturbs the organization is workers who in seek of better job opportunity and environment leave the organization. The Quality of Work Life plays an important role to retain workers. Workers always prefer to work in good environmental conditions and they remain in search of such environment.
